THAT WAY LIES MADNESS contains two stories: ┬┐That Way Lies Madne

THAT WAY LIES MADNESS contains two stories: “That Way Lies Madness” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today”. The first features Molly – Chief Engineer about a spaceship. She’s woken early from deep cryosleep to fix a problem with the FTL drive. She discovers there’s not a problem with the drive, but there is definitely a problem aboard the ship. Molly’s harsh and standoffish demeanor comes from past tragedy. Something wicked is happening to Molly’s shipmates and the descriptions are especially disgusting, which added to the fear factor for me. “That Way Lies Madness” is a quick read with a deliciously ambiguous ending. Just remember – appearances are deceiving. “He Stopped Loving Her Today” is a haunting love story featuring zombies. It asks an important question…can you go on with your life when your spouse is a zombie? THAT WAY LIES MADNESS has two good, solid stories with the distinctive Tuck twists!

There are two stories in this book. The first is a sci-fi space horror story and the second is a zombie short.

    That Way Lies Madness

Deep space.  What is out there could be wonderful and it could be scary as hell. Me, I’m not going where there’s no ready supply of oxygen and I don’t have to rely on mechanicals to provide it. See me walking around on Earth? Breathing freely? Yeah. And look. No strange extraterrestrials either. ETs that I have no idea what their agenda is. Enough said.

    He Stopped Loving Her Today

This zombie story made me sad and it also made me want to kick the guy’s ass. Why torture yourself? And why do what he finally did? I guess I don’t know enough of what his world is like after the zombie apocalypse to understand his decision.
