Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Why is it not the little one's monkey? For starters, its ears are too soft. As part of the "Usborne Touchy—Feely" series, this book includes plenty of textured items to provide tactile sensations. The tail of a little monkey is featured on one spread, but it is too velvety. Next, the feet are too smooth, the eyebrows are too hairy and the tongue is too fuzzy. But never fear, the right monkey is finally found. It is the one with the fluffy tummy. In addition to the tactile reinforcement, readers will enjoy the fun of spotting a little mouse on every spread as well as the back and front covers. Watt and Wells have created an attractive, sturdy board book which should have plenty of kid appeal. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot

    Monkey

My grandson loved this book. He was just 13 months when I gave it to him. He came back to it over and over. Loved to touch the different textures. I must have read it 10 times that afternoon and he went back on his own to check it out. Great book for a very young one and it is aboard book so it is sturdy.

    Touchy Feely

This is the cutest little hard cover book. I purchased it for my one year old grandson and he is absolutely delighted with it.

Each page is made of hard cardboard and is perfect for little fingers to turn. The pictures are individual and a child is able to learn by "touch" each one.

This hard book is a must for small children. It will entertain and delight, as well as educate your little one.

    THAT'S MY MONKEY!!!! YAY

My child LOVES this book. It keeps his attention with the tactile part and he (and I) have the whole thing memorized. It is an easy read, but a treat every time. I think he wants all of the monkeys, but there's only one THAT'S MY MONKEY!

This entire series is excellent for young children of all ages.

This entire series is excellent for young children of all ages.  Hey are alsoway a favorite at my house and I often give them for gifts.  There are enough different titles for every interest.  As opposed to lift the flap books, these have something interesting to touch on each page and nothing gets torn.  Additionally the books introduce children to a wide variety of  words.

    more from this reviewer

    We love this book!

We are very fond of Usborne's Touchy-Feely books. We we're given two by my sister-in-law that her boys loved, and my little one is the same. When I saw this one, it was a must have as my little guy's favorite toy is a stuffed monkey. The illustrations are very cute and the touchy-feely bits make him love to turn the pages.
