Meet the Author

Argentina Senda is an international marathoner. She qualified to run for the South African national team in 2000 and has won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals. Evelyn Higginbotham is the Victor S. Thomas Professor of History and of African and African American Studies at Harvard University and a visiting professor at Duke Law School. She is a scholar, an editor, and an author.
