100 Greatest American Films: A Quiz Book

I found this book to be extremely engaging. I watch movies all the time, read about movies constantly, subscribe to Film Comment and Entertainment Weekly, and attend various film lectures and festivals each year, but I had never heard half of the information and anecdotes provided in this book before. It was a very unpretentious book about 100 really good movies. Read it if you like classic movies.

100 Greatest American Films: A Quiz Book

I picked up this book a few weeks ago at the airport, figuring it might be fun to try to answer the questions during my flight. Well, it was fun attempting to answer the questions, which are very difficult, but this book offers quite a bit more than just a simple Q&A; the author provides oodles and oodles of information about the making of each of these films and the critical reception they recevied. I found the quotations from the actors and directors to be a lot of fun, too. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves movies and wants to find out more about them and how they're produced.
