The 1905-1913 U.S. Department of Interior: Bureau of Indian Affairs Records of Catherine Finley-Peone & Mary Finley-King:
This study examines the history of Montana's Cree and Chippewa people as "landless Indians" who settled in the federal tribal reservations of the Flathead, Colville, and Spokane which span from Montana to Washington in Indian Territories of the North West in the United States. This document explores credible evidence of certain early historical Indian families; specifically, Jocko Finley's children and grandchildren who were historically documented as Chippewa Cree, Cree, and Metis Indians who migrated from the Red River and Saskatchewan River Settlements in Canada during the Hudson Bay Company (HBC) time period before the Pembina and Devil's Lake agreements and enrollments were established regarding the Turtle Mountain Chippewa with the federal government.
