DJP's new book is awesome. I love it for many reasons, but mainly because it is actually working in my life.
Unlike so many of the self-help books I have read in the past, the 3 Promises gives me an immediate challenge to better myself.
I really dig how it has brought me joy already! I learned how not to be a Garbage Truck in DJP's first book and now I know how to bring joy into my life by bringing joy into others lives as well.
I totally recommend this book to anyone who is looking joy in there lives. Not permanent happiness...who has that?...but at the very least some joy everyday is possible! Supercool!

The 3 Promises is an excellent book that conveys simple, yet powerful, steps that you can take to live a more fulfilling life in all areas!! So often we get caught up in going through the motions of life that we forget that we deserve more out of life. David Pollay’s down-to-earth style of writing made me feel like I was listening to a long-time friend. He integrated his extensive knowledge in the field of Positive Psychology with personal life experiences on how he lived The 3 Promises; which enabled me to see how living through those filters can create the life that you want.

The book is enjoyable to read and is well organized around each of the 3 Promises: Find Joy Every Day, Do What You Love, and Make a Difference. Each chapter is told through stories of David’s life and gives you actions and/or questions to consider to better live that particular promise. Even the chapter names are meaningful in that they evoke the lessons of each chapter. I keep a copy of the Table of Contents as a primer on the lessons of living through The 3 Promises.

The 3 Promises actively engages you right from the beginning of the book with The 3 Promises Quiz; which gives you a clear indication of how fulfilled you are on a daily basis. Later on towards the middle, you can take T.H.E. K.E.Y. T.E.S.T of Doing What You Love. This quiz gives you additional information on how actively engaged you are in doing what you love. At the end of the book, David’s The 3 Promises 3-Day Challenge offers a simple format and suggestions of things that you can do to fulfill each promise on a daily basis. When I took the challenge, it raised my awareness on how and where I focused my energy. I saw results immediately on the first day! You can apply these concepts to helping your family, your team at work, and your community.

David reminded me that I owe it to myself and more importantly that I have the power within me to create the life that I want by committing to The 3 Promises. I highly recommend this book! …Ana Patricia Cosentino

The Three Promises is something everyone can carry out everyday,

The Three Promises is something everyone can carry out everyday, though sometimes we might not even be conscious that we are doing it, but we are, and effectively identifying and carrying out these promises will help you lead a more fulfilling life.  Now, don’t get me wrong, disappointments do happen and things often will go wrong, but instead dwelling in these situations that we cannot change, why not change our attitude about it and try finding another path around it?  This is a gratitude path.
This book is easy to read, David has shared many stories and concepts, many short stories; it’s these short stories that we can all relate to, such as staying up late out of habit, saying “yes” when we really want to say “no,” and showing gratitude and love to those close to you.  This book, in my eyes, questioned my everyday actions.  Am I doing the best that I could have? Will I regret not showing how much I love and appreciate them if anything were to happen?  Do I dwell on negative emotions for too long?  David has truly been inspiring, and I believe everybody can learn something in this book.  I promise to find joy everyday, do what I love, and make a difference.  It is so simple, yet, so life-changing.
