Erin Chase is the founder of 5DollarDinners.com and OneDishDinners.com, and she is the author of The $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook, The $5 Dinner Mom Does Breakfast and Lunch, and The $5 Dinner Mom’s One Dish Dinners (in stores August 2012.)
In the late summer of 2008, Erin set out to spend less of her husband’s hard earned money at the grocery store, in an attempt to offset the rising prices at the gas pump. She began sharing her strategies for spending less on her website, along with the recipes and meals she was making for her family (of 4 at that time) that cost no more than $5. Yes, for the whole meal.
Today, she helps thousands of people spend less at the grocery store and encourages them with tips, coupons, recipe ideas, gardening ideas and how-to’s in the kitchen.
