“A Concise Summary of the 8 Hour Diet” is a great way to get all the high points of the original in a much shorter period of time. It’s a great educational aid. Chapters like: “Change Your Mind to Change Your Body,” and “The Ground Breaking Science Behind the 8 Hour Diet,” each have an overview, and a list of key points. The premise of the diet is that weight loss can be about when you eat, rather than what, and this book clearly explains the reasons behind that idea. Also included are some 8-minute recipes and some 8-minute workout suggestions. This book was easy to understand and a great reminder that dieting is about lifestyle as well as about food.

Throughout the whole book I was surprised at what I was learning. All of these tips and tricks, plus the scientific data to back it up. This book is so valuable to the dieter and anyone who wants to improve their health. The diet is easy and tells you exactly what you need to do. From the amount of exercising in the way you are supposed to eat. Don’t worry, you will not starve or eat anything you don’t like. Not only did I recommend this to my sister, but I recommend this to everyone!

I think I’ve found a good one! The 8-Hour Diet outlines a window of time that the body may optimally process nutrients. The key is to be sensible about portions and vitamins, but any foods may generally be consumed. The 8-Hour Diet is a very realistic approach to eating when you love food. As a matter of fact, there is an entire section on cheating. The great thing about this version of the book is that you can breeze right through and get as much content as you need to understand it all. Highly recommended.

This book allows you to simplify your life starting with your diet. By the end of the reading, I was clear on the rules (so few, so easy) and positive I could follow through. Its’ realistic approach (eat only in an 8 hour window but eat what you like) is worth it. It also recommends an 8 minute workout in the morning; with just 8 minutes anyone can be a morning person!

Of all of the diets out there, The 8 Hour Diet is not only the most desirable but also realistic and beneficial to your health. In addition to aiding in weight loss, authors David Zinczenko and Peter Moore, explain in this easy and quick read, how its detoxifying effects can decrease chances of many diseases  and best of all, make you feel great! They lay out the basic rules of the diet, which is to eat only within an 8 hour period throughout the day and nothing outside of that window. They also outline the food groups that should be focused on to achieve a healthy diet and ways to alleviate your hunger during the fasting period.  This diet and book make complete sense.  We never give our bodies a chance to rid itself of what we take in. By avoiding food late at night, eliminating breakfast and switching it up for a quick workout you give your body a chance to detoxify from the day before. There’s nothing I love more than feeling detoxified and this diet book nails it.

Super flexible, the summary book pertains to folks with any and all dietary restrictions, and can be altered to suit any lifestyle – from super active to wholly sedentary. The book touches on everything to the ‘hows’ behind our body’s chemistry to strategic (but surprisingly, not always sweatier) workouts, to selecting the healthy power foods perfect for slimming down. Perhaps most impressive, is the idea that weight-loss, energy and ‘fitness’ involve when a person eats as much, if not more than how a person eats

I just finished reading The 8 Hour Diet…in 30 minutes  and I’m astounded at how much I need to revise my diet and exercise strategies.  I’m convinced the obesity epidemic in America would disappear if everyone read this and followed the sensible advice contained within.  This book summary captured all the essential details and gave me everything I needed to know to get started and stay successful using intermittent fasting as a pathway to health and weight loss!  Best of all, this strategy is incredibly flexible. It can be tailored to anyone’s eating preferences, exercise level, and busy lifestyle!

I've been looking for a new way to gain energy and have found it in the 8-hour diet! This summarized version of Zinczenko and Moore's book explains that controlling when you eat, rather than what you eat, can make your body (and mind) healthier, greatly decreasing your risk of getting major or minor health problems. It contains very useful information, including: information on how the diet will change you, tips for sticking to the diet (and for breaking the rules), and many things concerning the number 8 like 8-minute workouts and 8 foods to eat. By eating during an 8-hour window, I have seen an improvement not only in my weight but also in the amount of energy I have on a daily basis. In truth, this short and easy read can be life-changing.

It is the No Guilt Diet. Ever miss a day on the diet and feel guilty, not on this one. This isn’t a counting calories or measuring food out. An easy read, packed with information. Over a lunch hour you can learn the plan, work your current plan into it and see the foods you can eat. The exercise plan is less than 10 minutes a day.

Simple, healthy and effective way to lose weight The 8 Hour Diet in 30 Minutes is so easy to follow and maintain. By fasting 16 hours of the day, your body is cleaned of toxins and you spend less time worrying about snacks or the next meal. This program was really easy to follow and for anyone that works full time and is extremely busy like me, it is easier to form habits around a healthy diet instead of counting calories and spending hours working out. It gave me a great perspective on health living, which in turn, allowed me to lose some weight, too. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to feel better, save money on diet solutions, and lose weight quickly and easily.

Eating in Daylight The sun used to be the clock that regulated human life. We worked and ate when it was light out and we slept and relaxed when it was dark. Electricity brought artificial daylight into our lives and we never quite adjusted to it. The 8-Hour diet aims to bring back the balance. The extended day leads to extended eating (bed time snack anyone?) and that promotes obesity, heart problems, diabetes, and even cancer. This book gives a clear explanation of a very simple way to reverse that trend.

Ten easy to read, condensed chapters makes it clear that losingweight and getting healthy isn’t that hard and doesn’t require allthat much discipline or exercise.

Finally, a diet that's simple without all rules, points, long exercises, and time-consuming weird recipes! Terrific summary that helped me quickly understand the diet. Love the flexibility in easy to grasp diet that can fit to your existing eating style. Using a 16-hour fasting period, with their schedule example, I found it surprisingly doable! Good thing it recommends skipping breakfast, since I have busy schedule. Some great recipes in back and tips how to fight or prevent hunger. I'm ready to start dropping the weight!

Easy Lifestyle Changes With Big Results This is an excellent diet book that focuses on losing weight through eating at certain times of the day and fasting for the rest of the day. The authors lead readers down a path of explaining how the diet works and the results; decreased incidence of disease and increased longevity. Success can be achieved by following the diet only a  part of the week and allows for cheating during social situations. Easy and delicious recipes are provided in later chapters to help people achieve their weight loss goals.

The “8 Hour Diet …in 30 minutes” is a great diet. The gist of it is that you can eat what you want during the first 8 hours and then fast for 16 hours. Zinczenko and Peter Moore presented unique approaches to weight loss pitfalls, like hunger and stress. They included pages and pages of ideas for dealing with hunger. This is very helpful! This is the only book I have read that covers the emotional facets to weight loss. This plan can guard a dieter against diseases like Parkinson’s. Only one day on the plan made me feel mentally alert. The “8 Hour Diet in 30 Minutes” is marvelously flexible. What other programs let you skip a couple of days or even drink coffee? I can even use their methods with other diets like Atkins, South Beach. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to lose weight.

The book clearly explains how fasting burns fat, not muscle, so therefore only minimal exercise is required to lose weight. In addition, individuals can choose what and when to eat, as long as it’s within the eight-hour window. Cheating is easily managed with recommendations for hunger distractions and sensible snacks that make “falling off the wagon” impossible. It even works with other diets to improve their efficiency. This is a great book with solid science that just works.
