Having won a reputation as one of the hardest-working and most crowd-pleasing bands on the Detroit new wave scene in the late '70s, the Romantics scored a success right out of the box when their self-titled debut album, released in 1980, spawned the enduring hit single "What I Like About You." Throughout the '80s, the Romantics toured hard and earned more hits with "Talking in Your Sleep" and "One in a Million." The 80s: The Romantics is a budget-priced collection that features 12 of their best and best-known tunes from the decade that took them from local success to national stardom.
