Overview

You hold in your hands just some of the writing from 826 Valencia’s free programs

in the 2012-2013 school year. Here young authors begin novels in writing

workshops, record their family histories with the help of tutors in their classroom,

compose poetry and letters to the future after finishing their homework, and much

more. The result is poignant and funny, ambitious and wise beyond the years of its

authors, and sometimes a bit like a psycho apple tree on the loose. Welcome to the

826 Quarterly, Volume 18!
