Meet the Author

GeGe (Sylvia) Hensel began her writing career at the age of seventy-one by entering Faithwriter’s weekly competition. Within five submissions she advanced three levels, and won the “Editor’s Choice Award” and her story appeared in their magazine. She now writes for two Christian international online magazines, and has been published in “Yesterday’s Memories.”


The ABC Animal Adventures is her first children’s book. She has also written a Christian devotional, “From the Heart of a Woman,” which was published in 2011 under the name of Sylvia Hensel.

She is an avid reader, loves writing, and is involved in many church activities. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family.

Sylvia has two children, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She and her husband are originally from Columbus, Ohio and now reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
