AMAZING

This was one of the best books I've read in a really long time. I liked it so much that I didn't want to read the last page because I didn't want it to end. This book was amazing, with the perfect story. I loved it.

    Highly Recommended!!!

American Beauty A-list novel#7 By: Zoey Dean Publisher: Little, Brown and Company. ISBN: 0 ¿ 316 ¿ 01094 ¿ 4 Rating: Must read! American Beauty is a delicious treat for anyone who loves drama, romance, and betrayal of the young and rich if you love the Gossip Girl and The It Girl series you will love the A-list novels. There is just as much drama as there are top name designers. However the A-list is set in good old Los Angeles, California, which works well for the series. In American Beauty we are once again following Anna in her quest to be more outgoing since her initial move from New York to LA in the first novel The A-list in this seventh fascicle we follow Anna and her new friends Sam, Dee, and Cammie (who is actually her enemy but they are in the same circle) as they prepare to graduate from high school and move on to the next stage of their lives. We have Anna who seems to be the main character of the book that is privileged and has come from old money originally from Manhattan she is modest and well-mannered. She was raised much differently from the girls in California which is what gives this series such a nice contrast because it really is about her coming to California to change herself. Then we have Sam who is the first to befriend Anna. She is the total opposite of Anna she comes from new money her father is a very famous movie star and she is spoiled, popular, and dramatic but she is also very loyal and has a big heart. Although she only lets her friends see it because in Hollywood, it is very important to show people you have the power. Then there¿s Cammie who has been Sam's best friend since they were little. She is the ultimate bad girl her father is a talent agent and he is known for being one of the toughest men in the business. She is the one with the most power in high school. She is most definitely selfish and spoiled and she's compared to a Python a lot. Last but not least we have Dee. She is friends with everybody. She can be a little out there in her ways of thinking and strange at times but she's loyal and a very sweet, sweet girl. Those are the main characters that the book focuses on as well as their significant others just like the rest of the series. Some new relationships are formed and others are left hanging by a thread. This book was a great volume in the set and was one of the best in the series yet. It tied up a lot of loose ends that had been forming in some of the previous books. However the one thing I do not like about all of the books in this series is that every time you finish a book and start a new one, you lose a few weeks. There are always a few weeks skipped in between there which disappoints me because with the way that the last one ended I wanted to read about a certain confrontation. That's all I'll say. So I don't give anything away in case you haven't read the one before this. I have always loved the portrayal of the characters in the series and this book is no different. The characters were three-dimensional their character delineation was direct and with new characters there were developments that occurred slowly. I really do love how the characters are portrayed with so much detail and so much background there is always a little mystery left of the characters so there's always more to come but you know enough to get attached to them and that is really brilliant. It really pulls you in and you begin to relate to the character. At least that's what I did.

    Its pretty good!

I love all the A-List books and don't get me wrong I liked this one but it wasn't my favorite. You have to read it though because you really can't skip what happens with EVERYONE'S relationships in the whole book! I liked that part about it but I didn't like some of the sad parts.

    I love these books!

I really love all of the A List series! I have just finished this book, and am already on to the next! Each book is thrilling, exciting, and just great. It really shows you how some people can live. The author uses vivid descriptions, and you can really feel like you are in the characters shoes. She also describes the story from different characters point of view. I would really recommend reading these books. But of course you would not start from this book, but from the very first book in this series(The A-List).

    A Disappointment

I absolutely and entirely hate the entire series of "The A-List." It makes it blatantly obvious how terrible of an author Zoey Dean is. It's not grammatically correct, and its mediorcre plot is extremely simple-minded. It's as if Dean is trying to capture the characters of "Gossip Girl" and is failing miserably. I award no points to this book, for I set it down only after reading two chapters. Everything about this book is cliche and paradigmatic. I'm nearly positive that I'm capable of rewriting this story and creating a version much more prominent than this.

    Amerucan Beauty

In the book, American Beatuy, Zoey Dean buils on her plot from the previous books of her A list series. this go around it is time for the high status crew to graduate Beverly Hills High School. this of course meaans more drama than joy as Cammie Sheppard, daughter of famous Hollywood screen writer, Clark Sheppard is so close to solving the mystery of her mom's myseterious death. Even though classy Anna Percy has only live in fast paced Los Angeles for five months, she is having troubles of her own. Her boy friend Ben has been acting awfully strange lately, canceling on her-hardly giving her the time of day. Famous movie star Jackson Sharpe's daughter, Samantha is worried about showing up her rival Stephanie at the annual end of the year party. will the girls come through and still be able to get their diploma? the characters for me have really developed since the first book of the series. I love how they are always faced with drama. It is like normal high school drama magnified by ten. The common misconception is that money and wealth solve all of your problems, but the A-list crew can prove that statement wrong as money just seems to add more water to their problems. All of the personalities of the charcaters have become way stonger as the series progresses. the polar oppoiste personalities of Anna Percy and Sam Sharpe have now attracted to make them good friends. This causes more developments and interactions with the other characters to Anna, the main character. This developed Cammie, Ben, and Dee, another friend of the girls. My favorite character is Cammie. Even though she is the so called "villian" of the book, or the full of herself kind of girl, she is ny far the most interesting and entertaing to read about. I love reading about the girls and their high fashion interest, designer clothes, and lavish lifestyles.

    American Beauty Review

American Beauty by Zoey Dean is the 7th book in the A-List Series. I began reading the A-List novels because a friend recommended them to me. I really enjoy the books and plan on reading them all. The series is about a group of girls who live in Beverly Hills and have to deal with so much drama, from boyfriends and school to families and murder.
I enjoy reading the novels because they are so fun and entertaining. American Beauty is about the group of friends graduating from high school and saying goodbye to life as they have always no it to be. Also, Anna Percy is wondering why Ben is acting so distant, and Cammie has to confront Sam Sharpes¿ long lost mother about her affair with her father and ask her if she had anything to do with her mother¿s death. Out of all the A-List novels I think that American Beauty was the most serious so far. It was more about family than just about useless high school drama. I like the books so much because they keep you hooked, and they are hard to put down after you have picked them up because you just never know what might happen next. The rich girls from Beverly Hills, California will do anything to get who or what they want, and they do not like to wait. They will do anything to be the best and make sure that every one knows that they are.
I would recommend girls who are at least fourteen to read these books. It¿s always fun to be able to step out of your own world and into the world in a book. I know that the A-List novels keep me interested and are always fun. All I would have to say is that the only reason to not read the series is if you do not like cliché books. These books are very cliché; it is about rich snobby girls from Beverly Hills who can get anything they want. If any of this sounds interesting to you, you should definitely read the A-List novels by Zoey Dean.

Anna and Ben love each other but Anna feels that Ben is hiding a secret. That secret can ruin the relationship. Cammie on the otherhand, is still trying to find out about her mothers mysterious death but when she wants to ask her dad, he will say someother time is better. Sam feels that she needs Eduardo and trys everything she can to get him back. This thrilling A-list novel will leave you speachless.

I enjoyed this A-List book and whipped through it quickly, but as the series goes on, my respect for Anna Percy decreases a little more. Nonetheless, I recommend this book.
