    I Also Recommend:

    Awesome

First book I've actually sat down and read besides Psychology books on the subject. I was engulfed in it and found it very hard to put down. Such an abundance of knowledge I wasn't expecting and was thrilled to read. Definitely recommend to anyone interested in criminal psychology.

    Great find!

I wanted a book to suffice my interest in serial killers and this one DEFINITELY did the trick. The A to Z Encyclopedia of Serial Killers provides knowledge on the subject while presenting it in a way that just pulls the reader in. I am VERY pleased with my purchase and already decided on buying another of Harold Schechter's books on serial killers. Serial Killer Files will be my next!

I just got this book two days ago....and I've read it twice. I read it the first time in a day...then I thought that I may have missed something so I read it again. I enjoyed this book both times. It is simply one of the best serial killer books I have ever read.

    Review

This book is an eclectic and versatile look at serial murder. It's very imformative overall, but if you want a book that details the serial killers themselves, look elsewhere. Nonetheless, this book is a good read and actually funny (not that serial murder is amusing). I highly suggest it.

An A To Z Guide And Much More

This is not your traditional encyclopedia of serial killers. Most are simply capsule bios of the killers. Here, along w/ mini-bios, Schechter/Everitt look closley at other topis in close relation to serial killers ( i.e., murder rings, partners, necrophilia ). That brings an interesting and fresh approach to the standard serial killer guide. I got a real pleasure reading this and use it as a reference often ( I'm a Criminology college major ). If you're looking for a STRICT serial killer encyclopedia, there are better ones. If, however, you want to learn much more than biographies, then this IS your guide!

Serial Killers Details and Descriptions, Simply BREATH-TAKING

If you are anything like me and do not enjoy reading but you enjoy learning about serial killers, than this book is for you. From page 1 to the end, I was hooked. This is the type of book that you don't have to read in order according to the pages. Feel free to roam about the book...enjoy the details...get inside the heads of the killers ...try to figure out what they were thinking when they committed their crimes... that is what I did and it made the book even more exciting. So take it from me, one who does not enjoy reading but enjoys learning more and more about criminals and the justice system...GET THIS BOOK...IT IS WORTH IT, BELIEVE ME!
