I have really enjoyed reading Danelle's books. This is a very short read (34 pages) that is cute but not as good as her others.

It was almost a yea ago that I found my self hounding award-winning author Danelle to review her DeMontforte Brothers series. Little did I know that I would become a fanatic fan of this wonderful authors work? Her latest release, THE ADMIRAL’S HEART can be summed up in one word. Fantastic. Splendid. Sublimely sweet.  Okay, so maybe I need a few more words to sing the praise of Ms. Harmon’s very first foray into writing after a very long twelve year hiatus from writing.  I, for one, and thankful that she has taken up the pen and paper and have treated us to a romantic morsel that will leave you sighing a bit after you finish reading.  Set you lunch hour aside and dive into the delicious story of a young lost love to finally be given a second chance ten years later. Step into the opulent Georgian world that only Danelle Harmon can create with her rich dialogue, beautiful seting and magnetic prose rounded it with two of the most charming characters I have enjoyed reading. This decadent morsel is perfect in introducing readers to the world of 1774 where we meet the DeMontforte Brothers beautiful cousin, LadyLady Philippa Ponsonby Hatfield , who ten years ago made a terrible sacrifice.  Giving up the one man she loved and wanted to share her days with in a moment of youthful insecurity.  Now, years later she is at a ball being hosted by her cousin Lucien de Montforte, the mighty duke of Blackheath as his brother Charles whose regiment is off to fight in the continent.  What Phillipa does not expect is to see the man she jilted, Royal Navy captain, Sire Elliot Lord walking her way.  She had been desperately in love with the dashing blode haired Adonis.  As he draws near Phillipa can not face him and rushes out of the ball room. Fate has intervened and Sir Elliot will not let another moment pass with out making Phillipa his very own.  She is more striking now than she ever was. Elliot’s heart has always ached for her.  He will find out the truth of why she left him all those years ago.  But, this time, he will not her walk away and he will use any means necessary to make her his. THE ADMIRAL’S HEART is a sweet love story that encapsulates everything a romance reader loves.  Beautiful characters that engage your heart form the very first word.  A prose beautiful written and crafted by a true genuine story teller who readers can tell loves her story as much as the readers.  Plush and a magical setting that treats the reader to a world they will never visit. THE ADMIRAL’S HEART would be a wonderful addition to any book shelf and should from lunch time to lunch time be taken out to read over and over again.

This is an interesting book. I am not all the way through the book, but I recognize some of the characters from the other series. I know you will want to read this book too.
