Re-live the Tintin adventures

I grew up reading Tintin while I should have been doing homework or studying for exams. Thus I wanted to share the gift of living the Tintin adventures to my sons. And now history repeats itself (frown).

This set contains the original Tintin "picture books" condensed into 7 volumes. The eight volume is good for the hardcore fan wanting a peek into the mind of Herge.

The biggest complaint I have concerns the form-factor. If I remember correctly, the original books were about 10" x 12". These books contain the same content reduced to pages about 6" x 9" in size. I am in early stages of presbyopia and have a difficult time reading the print. Even the my children have to squint to read the small print.

In conclusion, if you must absolutely have these books, I recommend them but with some reservation. If not, scrounge around and try to collect the individual story books in the original format.
