About the Author

Will McIntosh, PhD, CRE, is global head of research for Affinius Capital (formerly USAA Real Estate) where he develops commercial real estate investment strategies and manages in-house research with the objective of informing and enhancing the investment process. As former head of global research for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority’s Real Estate Department, McIntosh created ADIA’s global investment strategy. Before that, he served as the Chief Investment Officer of Fund Evaluation Group. McIntosh is also former director of research for AFIRE.

Established in 1988 and headquartered in Washington, DC, AFIRE is the association for international real estate investors focused on commercial property in the United States. AFIRE members gather throughout the year to help one another become better investors, better leaders, and better global citizens through conversations, research, and analysis of real estate capital markets, cross-border issues, policy, economics, technology, and management.
