About The Author

Joyce Carol Oates is the award–winning author of national bestsellers The Falls, Blonde, and We Were the Murvaneys. Oates has published over seventy books including novels, short stories, novellas, poetry, plays and essays. Many of Oates's books, including Foxfire, were adapted into movies. Several of her books were Pulitzer Prize finalists and she has won the National Book Award for her novel, Them. Her other popular books include A Book of American Martyrs, "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?", Butcher, Babysitter, Zombie and 48 Clues into the Disappearance of My Sister. Oates has taught at Princeton University and is the Roger S. Berlind '52 Professor Emerita in the Humanities with the Program in Creative Writing.
