Library Journal - Library Journal
Subtitled ``A comprehensive guide to museums, libraries, archives, photo collections, historical societies, and other sources of information on U.S. history, politics and culture,'' this is a unique resource for history buffs or families to use in planning interesting vacations. The book is arranged alphabetically by state and then by name of facility, and there are also organization and subject indexes. Entries include address, phone number, a short description of the collection, hours, fees, and accessibility. Chapter headings and names of states at the top of each page would have made browsing easier, but this is a minor flaw. Recommended.-- Anne Washburn, Smith Helm Mulliss & Moore Lib., Greensboro, N.C.
