Mencken's American Language is an excellent book, but this ebook edition is not readable. Many of it's pages are cut off at the bottom of the screen.

The fonts come way too large to be readable for the majority of the book; also the book cuts off the text on many pages if you attempt any sort of customization of margins, etc. A shame -- the text, TOC, etc. are excellent, if the formatting were fixed, I'd give it 5 stars.

Whether you're wondering about given names or surnames, place names or euphemisms--or just the ageold rivalry between British and American English and your love of the language they sometimes share--this is a must-have reference book for professional storytellers by one of the greatest wits in either tradition.
