Overview

A sort of all-over-the-map collection of electric blues, ranging from the ragged swamp stomp of Slim Harpo ("I'm a King Bee") and the furious slide work of Elmore James ("Dust My Broom") to newer fare by Robert Cray ("Back Door Slam"), Taj Mahal ("Blues Ain't Nothin'"), and Britain's John Mayall (who covers Jimmy Reed's "Ain't That Lovin' You Baby"), this set from Sanctuary is fine as far as it goes, but it doesn't have much of a conceptual focus, although that probably doesn't matter much if you've got a case of the blues and you want to rock them away immediately.
