In 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr, murdered his mom, dad, 2 brothers and 2 sisters at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York. December 18, 1975, George and Kathy Lutz and their three children move into 112 Ocean Avenue only to flee 28 days later. This soundtrack is from the 1979 movie starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder as George and Kathy Lutz. Back in 1979, Lalo Schfrin who did the themes to "Mannix," and "Mission Impossible," had done the score for "The Amityville Horror," and it was released on lp back in '79, this is the full score but not the original lp version as apparently Schifrin could not get the rights to have his lp version rereleased onto cd. I own a copy of this score and I think it's great.
