Author Biography: Elissa Al-Chokhachy is a nurse who cares for the terminally ill and their families. She lives in Boxford, Massachusetts.
"There are few books dealing with the death of a child from a cause other than sudden infant death syndrome . . . and few books for siblings of a child who dies. Elissa Al-Chokhachy's new book helps fill a void in children's literature." (Boston Globe)
An angel is chosen to be born as a special child, who will be unable to do what other children do, but who will give his family healing in the brief time he is with them.

Our 3 year old son, Kevin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This wonderfully written and illustrated book helped make sense of a difficult situation. We read it to him during his final days. He pointed to the pictures and seemed to have the same wisdom as 'the angel with the golden glow.' Thank you Ms. Al-Chokhachy for making us see Kevin for the angel that he is.Was this review helpful?
