Audience: Those suffering from anxiety disorders will benefit the most from this book, as it is not only easy to read and understand, but also quite affordable. This would be an excellent companion in psychotherapy as well as a strong teaching tool in graduate school. The authors bring extensive experience, and this clearly is demonstrated in their workbook.
Features: The standout feature of the book is that it can be used in any way one is comfortable. Readers are not tied to any one chapter, yet there are helpful chapters such as chapter 12 on overcoming treatment obstacles and chapter 13 on living without anxiety. The authors discuss a wide array of treatments including relaxation, meditation, medications, herbal remedies, cognitive-behavioral treatments, and psychoeducation. The book is empowering, not overwhelming or overbearing.
