Understanding, Managing , and Overcoming anxiety are the three sections that split the Anxiety Handbook up, and every section had the most information for how to understand, manage and overcome anxiety. The first section had ways to understand the types of anxiety, and understanding the roots and causes of Anxiety. Second section had ways to find instant calm, getting in tune with your thoughts and feeling, and developing behavioral techniques and mental strategies. Third section had ways to make healthful, long-term lifestyle changes, and how to learn to deal with anxiety-inducing people and situations. Even for those who don't have anxiety, this is THE book to read to handle any kind of situation life throws you.

Individuals who are suffering from anxiety can really benefit from this book. The author of this book points out that doing simple things such as exercising, cutting down on caffeine can help you reduce feelings of anxiety. But there are also loads of other useful tips that can make anxious situation much easier to deal with so that an individual doesn’t go into a full blown panic attack.

This is probably the easiest to read anxiety handbooks I have come across.  Despite the academic research, it’s not too wordy or lengthy.  Though fighting anxiety is a daily battle for me, this is the handbook I reach for to help me overcome some of my issues.

The ideas in this book are phenomenal. Identifying anxiety as a regular emotion; like sadness, happiness, anger, or joy, is key to understanding management. I now understand that in order to manage anxiety, lifestyle changes need to be made. The steps offered here are creative, in many cases fun, and seem to just make sense. This book is for everyone that wants to live a more peaceful life.

While reading on anxiety naturally intrigues me,I found that the techniques in the book on coping with this issue very insightful. Learning about the parts of the brain that affect anxiety was very interesting. I would have loved to read more about how to prevent anxiety before it even starts, but the techniques and foods that help with coping with it are just as helpful. Who would have known that dark chocolate actually alleviates more than just my appetite. It actually alleviate stress. This is a very intriguing read.

Anxiety Handbook is a simple, easy to read book for people who need or want to get familiar anxiety. If you think you may have anxiety, this book is a good place to start to get some answers. Even if you have been diagnosed and need your family or even friends to understand what you are going through, this book is a quick way to get them on the road. Anxiety is a very complex condition that affects the person who has it and everyone in their life. Anxiety Handbook 7 Steps will not cure anxiety, but it is a good first step for those who do not know a lot about it.

Using a compilation of research resources, this book provides detailed descriptions of the types of anxiety, their causes and effects and a number of associated mental health conditions. While the book will likely educate readers about anxiety, its recommendations for managing and overcoming it are simplistic in comparison and most are likely already known to anyone who has read anything else on the topic.

7 Steps of Anxiety is unlike any nonfiction book you may read. With its easy to read vernacular and the ease of which the information is given to you, you will feel as though you are receiving the information from a wise elder rather than simply reading it. Like this elder is a professional in the field, but the humility in which the author has written this book is incredible, urging you that reading this book is simply a read in which might be helpful before actually seeking professional help. I've read this book twice and honestly, I feel more knowledgeable about anxiety then I have ever felt about it my entire life.

The Anxiety Handbook is an excellent and clear guide to understanding and overcoming anxiety.  The book analyzes how to identify anxiety, what it is, and how to address it in seven straightforward steps.  By breaking down the process of coping with anxiety from recognition all the way to making lasting life changes to ultimately overcome anxiety.  The book is written in a patient and kind voice which leads to each step being easy to understand and simple to follow with different examples and suggestions.

Reading this book made me think I have all the disorders described.  Perhaps, I should add hypochondriac to that list as well.   The thing I most took out of this book, is that having some the traits some of the time some of the time is normal.   That does not mean that I have every single “disorder”.   I have defiantly experienced the emotional symptoms of anxiety, but overlooked the physiological and cognitive ones because the emotional ones have been so debilitating at times.  I’ve always just thought that I was a “stressy person”, but according to this book, it is GAD (Generalized anxiety disorder).  I’m sure that this is the root of my long-lasting insomnia issues. I can’t wait to put these ideas into action.

The Anxiety Handbook: The Seven - Step Plan not only helps decipher different types of anxiety, but also shows that anxiety is not always a bad thing. By breaking the information into short, focused sections, the author was able to provide a great deal of information in an easy to follow manner. The author also uses scenarios to make the information more relatable.

Despite its length, this book is a rather quick and easy read. This textbook would be of great use to someone who is looking to complete research on the topic of anxiety. It covers many different ways of dealing with anxiety and how to reduce it with some simple meal and lifestyle changes. This book may not be useful to those with more experience on the subject of anxiety.

Wide ranging in scope but shallow in substance, this primer on anxiety will do well for those who want the most basic of information. For those seeking help with legitimate disorders and debilitating anxiety, better keep looking.

AWESOME BOOK!! A great read, this book is. The authors shares with the reader how to identify the different types of anxiety, how to overcome it and to find resolve in dealing with anxiety throughout our daily lives. I particularly like the, way the author wrote this book because is it has a personable touch to it, in that its like the author is talking to a friend. Great read, indeed.

The book presents its information in a way that makes the reader aware of what is it, how to diagnosis it and learning to understand it. The best parts of the book are the tidbits of information that are presented and the examples that are used to empathize with the readers who may suffer from anxiety. The author also suggests ways to overcome these problems and turn it in your favor and empower you. It is important to note that the author is not a licensed professional and cannot diagnosis a problem you may have. The author suggests that you seek advice from a licensed professional for a legitimate diagnosis. This book will give you ideas that can help you and others in the future. If you are interested in learning about what Anxieties, are looking to find ways to help you conqueror it or wanting to help someone you know with anxiety issues then this book is definitely one you should not pass up on.

After careful reflection on what I learned from The Anxiety Handbook: The Seven-Step Plan to Understand, Manage, and Overcome Anxiety, I realized a few important things. First, anxiety is complicated and very pervasive as it is associated with many mental disorders. Second, every day anxiety is normal but when it becomes harmful to your life it becomes a disorder in itself. And lastly, anxiety isn’t permanent! The Handbook is an awesome tool to teach, any individual, useful ways to conquer their anxiety.  The handbook should be recommended to everyone since anxiety is a normal part of everybody’s life.

A smart read. It really delineates the major and minor phobias, fears and other anxieties that plague humanity. It well enough detailed and interesting that I began to look under my bed. My skin began t itch during some chapters. But all in all I was enough of a well-written explanation in layman’s terms to keep me riveted all the way through. I recommend it for anyone with any interest n the subject matter.
