    Fun adventure in Argentina

In this fast-paced travel mystery, a chase for the missing necklace of Argentina's most famous soccer player leads the reader on a tour through that fascinating country, from the tango clubs of Buenos Aires to the mountains of Patagonia. Once again, Jernay delivers a racing storyline interwoven with culture and history, giving the reader what feels like an authentic taste of what it is like to travel to Argentina. As with the previous book, "The Uruguay Amethyst," most of the characters are well developed and memorable. I found it to be even better than the last book, however, since the plot was cleverly tied in to the true history of Argentina's dirty war, with the title gemstone playing an even more integral part in the story. Also, the emotional power surrounding the missing necklace is compelling. Like the Uruguay book, I found it difficult to put down.
