Yet another wonderful art instruction book from the good people at Dover Publishing. Vast in subject range, as well as techniques, this is the book I've been looking for. Right from page one, my pencil has flown across my sketch book and any loose paper lying about (blank or otherwise). Mr. Hultgren' style, in both drawing and writing, make the lesson's easy and enjoyable. Bravo!

This book is just awesome! I needed to draw a stylized gorilla and this book really helped! Most of the animals are fairly easy to draw if you're an artist but this book even covers more difficult animals to draw and that's what I love about it. This book is also great for references since it includes both muscular and skeletal details of each animal. I wouldn't recommend this book for younger beginners if you need a complete step-by-step on how to draw. This book does NOT go into complete detail. If you need to know how to draw both realistically and do animal caricatures, this is the book for you.

Good tips on drawing, but very technical. Examples are good, but not a hot-to book.

Saw an artist using it as a reference and was so impressed, bought one for me and one for my friends. We love it.

A great book on animal action and anatomy for artists. Not just informative but inspiring. Loaded with accurate, lively drawings. The author (a former Disney artist, I believe) is incredibly gifted and versatile. Also has great animal caricatures
