Eichorn was awarded the Grand Prize in the 1995 Sulky Challenge and has a fabric-collage ensemble included in the 1997 Fairfield Fashion Show. She was alos a participant in the 1998 Threads Magazine Design Challenge.

    Fun, practical, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind wearable art.

    I first saw this book when our daughter brought it to me from the public library, she had gotten it for herself, so shared it with me, as we have similar interests in textile arts.
    It was exactly what I was thinking about for a personal project. Being a commission artist by profession, I seem to always be making what other people want.
    I know if I made a garment using these techniques for myself, I would recieve orders, the fun thing is each one would be different. A must, to keep my interest peaked.
    Everything is clearly explained, this author is a good comunicator. The photo's are very clear, and the description of each step is concise. I am inspired!! Kudos!!

    Sewing Machine Art

    Using the sewing machine "as an art tool", as Rosemary says, can expand a sewer's horizons-which is the purpose of this book. The author encourages the reader to be imaginative, creative and resourceful.
