Captains Al & Lisa Fittipaldi have been cruising the world extensively for over 36 years on both power and sail boats. They have lived aboard a Tartan 37 and now live aboard a Hatteras 48LRC. Al served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and holds a Merchant Marine Masters license from the U.S.C.G. When my wife and I decided to purchase a boat we went to the Internet and purchased this book. It told us everything we needed to know about buying either a sail or power boat. Most books just talk about sailboats and never present the pros and cons of both types. This is very detailed and gives great information on the process from purchasing, registering and refitting a boat. Great reference and hope they write another one! A concise soup to nuts book about boats and boating.
