INTRODUCTION: Psychonueroimmunology is a long word with a short, simple concept. It means that the body, mind, and spirit are all interconnected. In other words, you mind can influence your body. What you think affects how you feel. Of course, what you think consists mainly of words-- and those words have the power to drag you down or lift you up.

The quotations in this book were all selected to help you experience the latter. To get the full effect, try posting a few where you will see them regularly. Add one a day to the screen saver on your computer, put one at the end of your E-mails, or E-mail one daily to someone whose spirit needs a lift.

It almost doesn't matter how you use these quotes. The important thing is that you use them on a regular basis. If you do, they can keep your spirits high so that you will be mentally, physically, and spiritually healthier.

Allen Klein’s book The Art of Living Joyfully is not just another book filled with quotes as I thought it might be when I picked it up.
It is a book filled with humor, intelligence, love and serenity. The quotes encompass human behavior and can enrich one’s day.
The quotes give the reader a poetic example, showing us that we can live joyfully as well.

Happiness is a craving we all have. But we can't sit and wait for it to come our way, just as the ingredients for a recipe won't magically appear. We have to make a conscious effort to go out and "catch happiness."
Many times throughout our day we are faced with something we want and we fulfill that want. We are thirsty—we go get something to drink. We are hungry—we go get something to eat. We want to write something down—we go get a pen. Happiness need not be any more complicated—if we want happiness, we must either go get it or create it where we are. Doses of inspiration and humor that gently and joyfully help us live more peaceful, loving, and fulfilling lives.
What a wonderful book and it makes a great addition to my library. Thank you so much for putting all of these positive and helpful thoughts and affirmations together in one place. I strongly recommend this book.
