'The Art of Photographing Nature' helped me beyond belief, especially in understanding exposure. I've given it as a gift before and will definitely give it as a gift again to any friend interested in nature photography. Highly informative yet concise in their explanations, covering a wide variety of photographic topics, the authors present the images and then discuss them, which is a great way for a 'visual learner' like my self to understand concepts and theories. The photographs themselves are great. It's the kind of book you will pick up again and again and again.
