A review of the book itself

My conclusions after reading THE AUDACITY OF DECEIT are that the book was well researched and documented. Given the title of the book, I was not surprised by the author's conclusions or opinions which were not really any worse than those I've read supporting OR detracting from both Senator Obama and Senator McCain. If all sides are heard from and the supporting documentation is checked, one can arrive at their OWN conclusions. I recommend this book on that basis and its own merits.

THE BEST OF THE BUNCH, A NEW BENCHMARK

Oleary¿s AUDACITY OF DECEIT easily supplants Corsi¿s tome as the new benchmark in Obama books. A of D cleverly blends introspection with a plethora of fascinating and even brow-raising facts, while never being dry or difficult, or too soap-boxy. O¿Leary drives home the central point of each chapter in a conversational way that makes the book invigorating to read, whereas I found Corsi¿s effort¿though interesting¿rather drowsy is places and off track, and though both books are indeed fact-laden, I think O¿Leary presents not just more straight facts, but more relevant conclusions of the type that the average reader will be most effected by. You don¿t have to be a political pundit to get the gist here important things about Obama are driven home very well. Some of the material is downright shocking, and it¿s info any responsible voter needs to know. The OBAMA TEST chapter alone is worth the price of the book. Anyone unsure of who they¿re voting for needs to take a very hard look at AUDACITY OF DECEIT.

    The Audacity of O'Leary

Simply replace the cover picture with Bush and insert Bush wherever the name Obama appears and you have non-fictional reading.

Last gasp of the Woodstock Generation

O¿Leary, Brad. The audacity of deceit Barack Obama¿s war on American values. Los Angeles: WND Books, 2008, 230pp. ISBN: 9781935071020. I was pleasantly pleased to discover that despite the title, this book is not so much about Barack Obama, the person 'though that is covered', but is largely about the policies advocated by Barack Obama and what implementing those policies might do to our country. Succinctly put, Obama believes that all our social ills can be solved by bigger government taxing producers more heavily to re-distribute money to those who do not produce. Although it is difficult to tell what Obama¿s position is as he changes them to fit the need, from his speeches and writing we can see that Obama is: ¿ Against the second amendment and the right to own firearms. ¿ For late term or any abortion ¿ For allowing felons to vote ¿ For raising taxes on income of any sort ¿ For giving away a trillion dollars in the Global Poverty Act ¿ For a wide variety of social spending increases from welfare to mortgage relief ¿ Against drilling, coal, or nuclear power and for high gas prices ¿ Against free trade ¿ For a liberal Supreme Court ¿ For government run health care ¿ For drastically reducing the military These policies follow ultra-liberal trends in every respect. They are a return to Jimmy Carter and even to Herbert Hoover, whose policies in a similar situation greatly prolonged the effects of the Great Depression. As the author deals with all these issues he also presents facts that are uncommonly known about our country. Did you know, for example, that the US has 1.84 Trillion barrels of oil in proven reserves, including oil shale and coal, where the rest of the world combined has 951 billion? That¿s PROVEN reserves. We know they are there. Did you know the top ten percent of household pay 70% of the taxes and that 30% of households pay no taxes whatsoever? There should be no doubt where Obama stands on any of these issues, but for those who would like to analyze how closely Obama comes to their own beliefs, O¿Leary provided the `Barack Obama test,¿ a 40 question test asking for your beliefs and comparing them to Obama¿s. Would that his were online, but you can get it by downloading a free chapter at barackobamatest dot com. All these policies are Socialist in nature, which should come as no surprise since Obama has immersed himself in Socialism his entire life,. As a child he was influenced by his Socialist, if not Communist, parents and family friends, such as Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist poet in Hawaii. As an adult he has associated with a string of characters on the Far Left. William Ayers, the Pentagon bomber Jeremiah Wright, the Black Liberation philosophy preacher Tony Rezko, the convicted felon who reaped millions of dollars in housing projects. There are a lot more, and in every case they are people on the Far Left who want to completely tear down the American Capitalist system, the religious values of the majority of Americans, and, indeed, the entire social structure. In effect, this election is a battle in the Culture War between Traditionalists who uphold Judeo-Christian values, believe in the Ten Commandments, believe in personal opportunity and responsibility, in economic liberty and property rights juxtaposed by far left Socialism which believes big government, less personal freedom, and cultural relativism are the right way to form a society. There is a great article over at American Thinker dot com that covers this issue more widely. In effect, this is the Woodstock anti-Vietnam generation¿s bid for power. The `Audacity of Deceit¿ provides a catalogue of the Far Left beliefs that are driving Obama¿s campaign. Read it before it is too late. One warning to readers of these reviews. I got an advance copy of this book, which is to be released tomorrow. When you read these reviews, ask yourself: Has the reviewer actually READ THE BOOK, or is he or she

I've Tried Socialism and Then I imigrated to This Country

This is the most insightful book I have read this summer by far. Too quickly the left points fingers at the apparent desperation of the right, however this is merely an attempt at taking the readers attention away from the facts. I grew up in a socialist country and my parents had enough sense to immigrate legally to this country. I am now an American Citizen, and appreciate my freedoms, apparently more than those that have been born in this country. This book will spell out why obama is a loosing bet for this country. Granted, McCain may not be the best however, when compared McCain wins hands up. At least McCain is not interested in suppressing our rights. Read the book for yourself and decide for yourself. Don't let other decide for you. Specially those who would attempt to hide the truth.

    Ignorance is bliss...

i find myself, many times, wondering how people seem to call such a one sided publication as truth and fact. Ignorance is certainly bliss when you live in such a black and white world, where you are right and everyone else is wrong. this book seems to feed into that mentality by creating a cozy bubble for all the conservatives who loved this type of drivel. zombie like and scarry when you really think about it. one starts wondering if this author tells you to jump off a bridge in order to vaporize the entire democratic party.... would you actually do it??

    The Audacity of Deceit

Finally a book that isn't shy about telling the truth!!! It's nice to know that the left wingers aren't the only ones who can stand up. If only everone could read this book. It would shed a great deal of light on this upcoming campaign.

    Desperation at its finest...

another example of right-wing desperation at its finest. The right wing smear campaign must really fear obama... not even Kerry got this much attention. I guess its much easier to fabricate and lie about the other parties candidate than it is to support and write about your own candidate who isnt even well liked within the repuclican voters. how sad...

    Well written and shocking!

This book really opens your eyes to the horrible things that Obama has or has not voted for. From very late term abortion to taxing the common man, people need to read this and wake up from this man's spell!
