The Autumn Effect opens with "Waking Up," a surgically perfect union of Tool and Incubus. 10 Years vocalist Jesse Hasek wails with the earnestness of Brandon Boyd, but also draws from the persistent tension in Maynard James Keenan's delivery. Musically, 10 Years' songs do much the same thing. They feature echoey, dripping-water guitar lines that splash into giant choruses, combining the arty darkness of Tool or Deftones with post-grunge's need for a big melodic payoff. "Cast It Out" is a great example of this, as is "Half Life." Staind and Static-X producer Josh Abraham gives Autumn Effect a serviceably crisp sound, and 10 years is enamored enough of their big payoff choruses to focus more on them than the mental darkness permeating the verses. "Through the Iris" is another highlight; the band also gets ambitious with the closing title track, which clocks in at nearly ten minutes and implodes into a primordial ooze of proto-Coil gloom.

I saw this band open for Disturbed alongside Ill Nino. Aside from that obviously being an amazing concert altogether, I was totally blown away by this band. I had never heard of them, and I found myself getting totally absorbed by their music instantly. They're also great to see live. Definitely check them out.

10 years' first single was "Wasteland." I think right about the first note of the song, I knew that it would be one of my favorite songs of all time. I then went and purchased their CD with no hesitation. The Autumn Effect is frankly one of the most amazing CD's I captures pretty much every single mood I'm ever in and manages to keep me indulged in every single song til the end. I cannot praise this band and this CD enough. I can't wait to see them in concert, I'm in love.

10 Years is what real rock used to be before all the emo bands took over. Not a bad track on the album! Definately a must buy! :)

I first heard about 10 Years when I was listening to SIRIUS Satellite's Octane. I was blown away by the power and delivery in Jesse Hasek's voice. On top of the performance that he, no doubt, delivers full force - the intricate guitar work is phenomenal. The Autum Effect is a definate must have as it will not let you down at all. If you're a fan of bands like Strata, Thornely, Theory of a Deadman, The Exies, Cold, DARKnewDAY, Earshot, TRUSTcompany, Tantric, Shinedown, Days of the New, TapRoot, or Adema - you will definately be a fan of 10 years.

10 Years is a band slowly appearing out of obscurity, and with good reason. Based in Knoxville, TN, they're making waves where it counts: on the road. Touring with the likes of Disturbed (the band of which I was first introduced to them) and Mudvayne, their energetic performances and poetic yet hard-cutting music pierce the mind and stir soul, and possesses the constant tendancy to enrapture the crowd at every show. Damn good for a band whose only a few years in the making. If you yearn for lyrics that sink beneath your skin and the sound of guitars, bass and drums that make you quake from beginning to end, this is the band for you. Happy listening.

I picked up this record after hearing "Wasteland" on the radio. After listening to the single about 20 times in a row... I checked out the other tracks. Amazing! 10 Years brings a fresh twist on a solid rock sound. 10 Years knows how to rock the guitars, while belting out some beautiful vocals. Grab this cd now!

Ten Years is an amazing band. The music has a lot of variety. It is sometimes soft and mellow while at other times it is harder. The lead singer has such an awesome voice that I could listen to all day for the rest of my life.
