    Great Intro to Avengers

There are some great 'classic' villains, like Zemo, Loki, Kang, and Sub-Mariner. This is 10-issues, 250 pages of Avengers action! Nice color restoration, and there are some great panels in this Nook Book. We see Iron Man's armor change, the Cap unthaw, and the line up change for the Avengers--The Hulk comes in and out. Each issue is pretty much self-contained, with no big arc throughout, but the villains continue throughout. If you have any interest in classic comics or current Avengers, I would recommend this book.

These are the comics that changed everything.

The Avengers were the first and best super hero group of the 1960s. This collection has the early issues of the group. The Kirby art work is classic and after seeing it you understand why all the major comic book artists refer to his work as the best seen in the industry. Stan Lee's writing doesn't hold up as well as the American language isn't the same now. But the genesis of the characters are there and you can see why they became icons.
