    Excellent source for learning!

Of all the books I've ordered, this one has been the most helpful, particularly in propogating wild brambles (blackberries and raspberries). It explains things so they're easy to understand. The book explains first year and second year canes and when different varieties produce. It has hand-drawn pictures of pests, recommendations on how to get rid of them (both chemical and not), tells how to prune grapes and brambles, how to build harbors...I wish I'd had this book years ago. Of all the information I've found, this has been the most helpful.

    Disappointed

I recently bought a home that has raspberries, grapes and blackberries planted on the property. I'm a newbie at growing anything but veggies so I needed some help. I found this book to be confusing - and the lack of color photos for plant type clarification was disappointing. I can see how the book may be helpful to those who are already familiar with berry plants but I ended up returning it.
