Overview

From New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new novel.

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men's locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don't mean he told me any of his secrets.
No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question. On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby--screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don't date players.
And it's not because I'm one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I'd date an athlete.
It's the other kind of player I don't date.
You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let's face it. It never is.
There's a story between once upon a time and happily ever after...
And this one is ours.

A deliciously sweet romance about a cocky, dirty talking footballer and the confident know-it-all reporter. It was unique and heartwarming from word one.

Brody is smart, funny and the best in the field. He’s a player too – but there’s some secret in his past he’d like to keep private. He has his way with words that can make you cringe, laugh and turn on at the same time. He has a big and compassionate heart, and that side of him would make you fall even harder. Delilah is going to prove herself that she can be good in her work. But her first interview caught her off guard when the mighty Brody Easton gave her a glimpse of him after dropping the tower. It was an epic first meeting, and I’m glad she easily recovered. Our girl is fierce, but the heartbreak she suffered from the past made her careful and emotionally unavailable for anyone. That is until Brody came along. She did try not to fall for his charms. She tried hard enough, but her control was no match for him. He can easily break down her barriers. Their banters kept me hooked, and thoroughly amused, had me reading till the wee hours of the morning, and let us not talk about the oozing sexual tension between the two characters. It was a very long foreplay, and both were really stubborn – but when it finally happened it was definitely worth the wait. I love Brody’s honesty, his ability to chase after what he wants without inhibitions and his ability to fight hard for it. He knew when he would stand back and wait. He’s a perfect gentleman even though it brings him trouble at times. I love everything Vi Keeland writes – and I mean everything. But this one (The Baller), tops my list. I had so much fun and laughed a whole lot but at the same time there was an ample amount of drama to bring tears to my eyes and crush my heart a little bit. I love the twists and turns and all those surprises that caught me off guard. This is something that you should not miss! Rating: 5 Stars

Well hot damn. Vi out did herself with The Baller. I've been dying to read this one. I didn't even need to read the blurb, the cover alone sold me. And I have to say....Vi did not disappoint. We are only a couple of weeks into 2016 and I already know without a doubt that The Baller will be in my top 10 reads of 2016. This is by far Vi's best work, and I've loved everything I've read that she has written. The Baller has everything I look for in a book. It's flirty, funny, sexy and has characters who I easily connected with. I knew 10% in that I would love Brody Easton. What I didn't expect was the plot twist. She made my heart race with anticipation, wondering what was going to happen. And my feelings never wavered when it came to Brody. I have a feeling Brody Easton is going to top some Book Boyfriends lists! He's at the top of mine! #BrodyCanPlayMeAnyDay Get ready folks because I'm going to be screaming for everyone to READ THIS BOOK!!

I liked this book but didn't love it. I agree with another reviewer who said 3rd pov took away from main characters. I don't want to spoil, so I'll just say I'd have rather his pov be deeper. I felt his pov was more wrapped up in the ex instead of the development with the current love interest. Over 300 pages so no dissapointment there. Too bad it did not fufill potential for me.

I love sports stories. I loved meeting Brody and Delilah as they worked through their histories and came together in the end. I liked that her father was a former football plauer, as that added to her credibility as a sportscaster. Worth reading.

The Baller is hot, emotional, and full of sexy humor. Delilah Maddox- sports reporter trying to make it in a mans world. Brody Easton- sexy alpha quarterback who is not making it easy for her. Brody and Delilah story will warm your heart. They are both very strong character, they were not a super dramatic couple, just a little broken and have obstacles from their past they need to overcome. The question is can they overcome their past, or will it tear them apart? I really enjoyed the backstory and how it weaved into the present. Willow was an interesting character and I am really hoping she gets her own story. Another fantastic read from Vi Keeland. I would definitely recommend read this.. Christy Radical Reads Book Blog

Since football season ended, I'm having to restrain myself from reading every single football book I can get my hands on. The struggle is real. The Baller has been sitting on my iPad since shortly before release, however, and I've enjoyed Vi's books in the past, so I decided there was no time like the present to read this book. (And can we just take a second and give an "amen" for that hot AF cover? Down and dirty, indeed. This isn't the first time I've read a book that pits the football star against the reporter, but I enjoyed it every bit as much this time around. Brody was great. He had me laughing, swooning and even sweating a little bit. I liked Delilah as well. I love the whole female sports reporter thing. (Probably because it's basically my dream job.) These two had *amazing* chemistry and their banter was top notch. I enjoyed watching these two strong characters go head to head. Brody gave Delilah a lot of crap in the beginning, but she gave as good as she got and I loved that. I'll admit, I was a little concerned when the book started to venture down potential love triangle territory about halfway through. I suspected it was coming, but it still didn't stop me from cringing and hoping it wouldn't REALLY go there. At the risk of minor spoilers, I'll just say I was relieved at how everything went down and I ended the book with a smile on my face, so that should tell you something. The Baller gave me the dose of football I needed in a sexy romance with a couple good laughs, and even a few feels. I thoroughly enjoy Vi Keeland's writing style. She's definitely one of my auto-buy/auto-request authors. I can't wait to see what she gives us next! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Researching and editing would help this story tremendously. By the way, it is "bye week" not "bi."

Fantastic! The cover got my attention, but the story makes this one of my all-time favorites. I was expecting down and dirty, but the story is so much more than that. Brody has so many more layers beneath the cocky jock on the surface. Watching their story unfold, feeling their chemistry jump off the pages and discovering what Brody and Delilah had been through in the past and its impact on their relationship made me laugh and cry. We expect the HEA, but the journey to get there is what makes a story stay with us, what makes us read it over and over again. I love a book that makes me emotional as I'm reading it - and this one did. This is the first time I've read something by this author, but it definitely won't be the last, and I hope this is the first in a series.
