As it claims on the cover, the book is a basic drawing book, and it does contain the basics to cover many subjects that you'd need for the foundations of drawing such as perspective, proportion, lighting. It is definitely a good book for a late beginner, and for individuals who likes to learn from explanations of the subject matter. Might not be the right kind of book for people who intuitively pick up drawing, although it does give a comprehensive background that even they would find useful. Not recommended for readers who would like a little more in depth study on the various drawing subjects mentioned because of the brevity of each section.
