Overview

After the bittersweet victory against the Reich in New Orleans, Donnie is left in a constant state of anger and uncertainty. Even with the addition of new allies in the form of the Liquidators – a private military force, the Blood Angels – a band of bikers, and the collective of hackers that simply call themselves – God Mode, he is still unfocused, and struggles to find a way to go on. It’s not until a face from his past re-enters his life, that he’s once again given purpose. When his cousin is mortally wounded in a hunting accident, Donnie is summoned back to the place where he thought he would never set foot again - the reservation where his mother grew up.
Returning to Tennessee, he is entangled in an ancient struggle and finds himself battling an insidious new enemy, The Defiled. Donnie must now defend his loved ones from both vampire and Defiled. Yet, his Cherokee people hold a secret that will change everyone's lives forever.

Donnie is back in the second installment of The Foundlings serie

Donnie is back in the second installment of The Foundlings series. He is still grief-stricken at his loss and not quite himself. He is bitter, sad, angry and just not the same person he once used to be.

When his cousin is mortally wounded he finds himself going back home. Home to a place he never thought (or wanted) to go back to. His childhood home is on the Indian reservation in Tennessee.

Once there he gets to learn more of his parents and what happened to them. He is reunited with some of his family members. He is faced with battling new enemies known as the Defilers. He is aided by some new friends The Liquidators, and Blood Angles. He is also reunited with his childhood friends Misha and Cee Cee. As he battles the fight for good, he is learning more (about) his friends, family, and his Native American Heritage. Some of what he finds is shocking. Will the Old Donnie resurface? Will he be able to pull himself out of this slump? And will he be able to put an end to the evil that is trying to destroy all that is good.

Action packed vampire fantasy, with Native American legends. A great follow up to the first book, The Foundlings. I really enjoy the writing style of RM Garcia, he turns a fantastic nail biting, page turning, vampire story into an original masterpiece with the addition of Native Americans. I find this (book) unique and really enjoy the originality. I look forward to more work By R.M. Garcia and highly I recommend to vampire/fantasy lovers.
