For Mr. Virzi's environmental class we were able to pick out a book that was related to the environment in some way. One Environmental topic that i find intriguing in the bermuda triangle, something about there being a mystery in science, and on earth makes me curious and very interested in. The bermuda triangle fascinates me and i could never get bored of it unless i knew absolutely everything there is to know about it. So when i read this book by Charles Berlitz, it was great because most of the time you don't get to pick out a book at school that makes you excited to read it. This book contains 9 fascinating chapters each containing something different and new pieces of so called evidence on what the bermuda triangle is and why it is so mysterious.

One thing i really liked about this book is that it wasn't all made up stuff it was very scientific and too the point, there was no fiction about it, it had evidence and it was backed up by more evidence, it explained why it lead explorers to it and it also explained what happened to them, that is if they survived.

I also enjoyed the formatting of this informational Novel. I liked how Berlitz first talks about the location and the different parts on theses different locations in the bermuda triangle that is from off of florida to Puerto Rico then to Bermuda then back to Florida. After the first 2 chapters he discusses the sailors conversations back from home. Most of the sailors observed how the sky turned a orange, pinkish color and their compases would not stop spinning. Continuing on in this chapter he discusses possible reasons why the bermuda triangle is so dangerous and discusses some of the reasons why this happens and where it goes. I liked hearing about was the Blue Hole which is a hole found in the bermuda triangle that contains wreckage of some of the ships that disappeared in the bermuda triangle. Another thing i enjoyed was the graphics that were included which is how the blue hole was introduced.

I strongly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in the bermuda triangle, who wants to know about opinion and patterns of the disappearances of ships but also plains. RIP to the thousands of people who died during these incidents.

The best book on the subject!

I picked up this book looking for basic information on the 'Bermuda Triangle', I finished it questioning the very nature of the world around me. The book starts with a simple yet fascinating account of the various phenomenon in the region, and then moves on to list a whole range of explanations{something no book before it had done.} It describes at length every theory from the most mundane to the most fantastic, giving every bit of evidence for or against and leaves you to draw your own conclusions. Everyone should read this book, whether you beleive in the Triangle or not. It may not change your mind, but it will make you think, and that is the greatest gift of all.
