    Excellent Resource

I bought about 7 books to help me research colleges, and of all of them this was my favorite. It helped me narrow down my list because it told me many things that the brochures didn't: it has helpful info about dorms, the social scene and surrounding town, and the profs. It's also not monotonous and full of dizzying statistics, but rather actual students' quotes that make you laugh or say 'wow, that's good to know'. I would have found my top 10 colleges with this book alone.

from a mom of a college student

This book is a 'must-have' for any student, or parent of a student, who has a good range of college choices after graduation. If you've got a child graduating in the top 10% of the class, with good grades and SAT scores, this book pays for itself by helping you avoid 'wasted' campus visits, as well as helping you find college possibilities you might not have considered.

Best of the College Review Books

If you buy only one college review book, this should be it. We've done several college visits and have compared notes with other parents and have found this book to be the most accurate representation of the general *feeling* you get from the school. Excellent in it's frankness and down-to-earth in its style, the book is both informative and a joy to read.

    Good summaries and important details

the book had a look of interesting facts in it and i thought that it gave fairly accurate results by using personal experience. however, i do wonder how clemson could be #1 on all the party categories except for the biggest party school. a few things like that make me wonder, but overall it was a great resource tool.
