This is a well-written, thoroughly researched book. It's an enjoyable and informative read. As a nurse, I see the potential of this book to help a lot of people. I'm also a mother of 2 and realize even more after reading this book that good food is essential not only to my kids' health now, but in their future as well and also to the environment we all live in. The information and advice is practical and usable and steers clear of the fads, and I liked the combination of ancient and modern medicine and dietary advice. I'm buying copies for family and friends this Christmas, as having them read it will save me the effort of having to explain my viewpoints and eating habits (and hopefully it will help them live longer and better too)! The recipe section is very complete and even includes breakfast and seasonal celebrations. My kids have loved what I've made so far so that works for me!
