There are some great recipes in this book. Most of them are pretty easy to make. I found the book to be better than I thought. I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I opened the book. Everything you need for a recipe you either already in your pantry or easy to get from your local store. A cook book worth having in your home.

Easy to follow directions. Many of the recipes needed items I already had on hand.

This book has some amazing recipes within it, and I for one had my mouth watering throughout the entire book.On top of this, I loved that the book was spiral bound, as any cook knows this makes your life so much easier while you are cooking!

This is probably the ideal first Amish cookbook to buy. It is extremely useful having a comb-bound recipe book which will open and lie flat! It would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves Wanda's Amish books and it is great to see the two original cookbooks combined  into one volume. I am so looking forward to buying a  print copy to add to my cookbook collection!

I started baking and cooking recipes from this book a while ago. I LOVE IT! The directions are so easy to follow and the recipes are so delicious and tasty. I loved the pictures throughout this book as well. I believe that Ms. Brunstetter does a wonderful job of rounding up all the recipes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. You cannot go wrong with an outstanding cookbook such as this!

This is a beautifully illustrated cookbook that causes me to want to visit the land of the Amish! In the Breakfast section homemade granola and grape nuts are included as well as homemade pancake syrup - YUM! Along with recipes are Amish sayings, Scripture verses, beautiful illustrations and bits of info about the Amish. I will be trying some more recipes this summer, and even more when I retire from teaching in a couple of years.

The Best of Amish Friends Cookbook by Wanda E. Brunstetter is full of things I might actually cook, with ingredients that I might actually have in my kitchen or be able to pick up on a quick run to the grocery store.

I found this cookbook enjoyable to look through and I found a number of recipes that I really would like to try. In addition to the recipes, I found many of the facts about the Amish and their lives interesting. I learned about their schooling and the different types of buggies certain Amish use. I enjoyed having these sections mixed in with the recipes.
NetGalley - Robin Grossbier

Wonderful....oh to be able to cook all of these recipes and not gain a pound.  Yet when I don't work an eigth of what Amish do...I know why.  Thanks for combining these two books...they will be a nice recommendation for the church bookstore for this fall and Christmas.
Wendi's Book Corner ~ Rainy Day Reads in Seattle - Wendi Barker

When I got a chance to read through The Best of Amish Friends Cookbook Collection by Wanda E. Brunstetter, I found some new favorite go-to recipes.  I call them go-to because they utilize a lot of the ingredients I already have on hand.
The Self-Taught Cook - TAMMY CUEVAS

This is one of the best Amish cookbooks I have seen lately.  The spiral binding makes it convenient to use, and the sections are clearly divided and labeled. If you only buy one Amish cookbook this year, buy this one; you'll be glad you did.
Splashes of Joy - Joy Hannabass

This is the most amazing cookbook I’ve ever seen! It is not only a cookbook, it is a book to display on your coffee table, or other places in your home for friends and family to be able to look at. Most of the recipes are pretty easy to make and those I tried are fabulous!! The book is spiral bound and the paper used looks like photo paper and is a very good quality. The pictures are awesome and top quality. There are photos of some of the recipes, and they look scrumptious and good enough to eat! There are also pictures taken around different places on Amish farms. And I really love the little tidbits all throughout the book about the Amish and their lifestyle.
