I'M BUYING THIS ONE! HE'S AMAZING!!!

I HAVE LOVED BOBBY MCFERRIN'S CRAFT/ART/GIFT/TALENT SINCE THE MID 80'S WHEN I ACTUALLY CONSIDERED NOT WORRYING AND BEING HAPPY AS MY NEW PHILOSOPHY. I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER OF HIS CD'S - HE AND YO-YO BEING SILLY (PERFECTLY IN TUNE, OF COURSE), THERE'S ANOTHER TOTALLY A CAPELLA ONE I HAVE, AND THEN I JUST HEARD "SPAIN" WITH CHICK IN THE CAR ON THE WAY HOME. MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH BOBBY IS THAT EACH ALBUM IS TOO MUCH THE SAME. THE REVIEW ABOVE CONVINCES ME THAT THIS COLLECTION INCLUDES ALL THE BOBBIES I LOVE! SO I'M GONNA BUY IT.

    Shower-singing good...

This man is amazing. His voice is just incredible¿ he takes all of the best of the most influential musicians of all time and melds them into something very personal, very unique, and very good. It seems as though the depth of his ability is boundless - he could do anything and everything he wanted to. I believe his album, ¿Best of Bobby McFerrin,¿ defends this assertion without enlisting my help. On this album, McFerrin displays his incredible range of talent: from a cappella, to dueling (vocally) with the accompanying instruments, to regular vocal accompaniment. His sounds are rich and expressive, but light-hearted and fun loving. He makes you want to believe that the sun will never stop shining, and everything really will be o.k. He has shades of Bob Marley, and shades Nat King Cole - thus encompassing some of the best-loved music of all time. He is simply amazing. His imitation of instruments - armed with only his voice - was a feat that I had never even seen anyone attempt (let alone decisively conquer) outside the comfort of their shower. The addition of musicians Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea did not hinder his cause. Just a listen to his worldwide hit, ¿Don¿t Worry, Be Happy,¿ would undoubtedly make a fan out of anyone (including myself).
