The Best of Paul Overstreetby Paul Overstreet
The ultimate New Traditionalist factory songwriter, Overstreet's best work is the series of hits he wrote (usually with Don Shlitz) for Randy Travis in the 1980s. On his own, as evidenced by this collection, he's a bit too obsessed with convincing everybody that he's a good Christian man who just can't wait to get home to his wife. There's more to life -- and music -- than family values, no matter how you define them.

I really hope more and more people find this good music-always a positive out look towards family and life,we truley need more real talent like him feeding people the way mr.Overstreet does - always fantastic! thank you
While another has called Paul obsessed with proving he is a good Christian man, we say, ''Hurrah for Paul!'' There are those of us who applaud good Christian men, especially those who stand strong for what they believe and who provide other Christians with music they can enjoy without fear of what sordid things they might hear. We had the pleasure of hearing & seeing Paul at an I Still Do conference. We love his work.
if you have high moral standards and good old fashion values, this is the music for you. Paul Overstreet music is truly inspired.
Paul Overstreet has always been my favorite singer/songwriter. In The Best of Paul Overstreet he hits what IS most important on this earth, our relationships with others, especially our family. Paul has always written about positive values and I believe he will continue to do what God has called him to do.
It's too bad that Paul Overstreet is one of the very few artists putting out this kind of decent, uplifting music. And what's more, it is really GOOD music. It is certainly a breath of fresh air from some of the absolute garbage that passes for music today. And if you don't like the message he conveys, YOU don't have to listen to it Mr. Cooper.
