We recently purchased a ipod to use on our car trip to TX. Very enjoyable to listen to the music we wanted without having to spend time searching for channels that would come in on the radio. Downloaded the CD to the ipod along with other CDs we purchased from B & N and the trip was great. Bringing back the music we enjoyed in years past help pass the time and we reminisced with our favorite music.

I was speechles when I first heard it. I had heard ''Supernatural'' and was already amazed, but when i heard ''The Best Of Santana'', I was flabbergasted! ''Jingo'' especially blew me away, as well as ''Evil ways'', ''Oye como Va'' and ''Soul Sacrifice''. Now it is imperrative that i hear albums such as Abraxas and Santana, as well as the Live at the Fillmore '68 records!

...and she's played this album nonstop for days, perhaps even weeks. The songs don't sound as different as those on his new album, 'Supernatural.' But I was obsessed (for the first time) by the way he uses some of the hottest dance grooves ever, even though I'm not that accustomed to Latin music, which I should be because my whole family is Hispanic.

This Album is a great one. I have loved Santana's music for a long ! ! ! time. I like his older music more than his new album though. He is GREAT with any music he plays though.

This CD was purchased for one track only because I had never really been a fan. Now? I am, I am, I definitely am! This CD is stirring, relaxing and very soulful. Each time I listen to this music I wish each track would never end...

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The Best of Santana is a 16-track collection that greatly expands the scope of Santana's previous hits compilation, Greatest Hits. Drawing from the band's entire 30-year career, the disc contains such familiar items as "Evil Ways," "Jingo," "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen," and "Oye Como Va," but it also has a number of longtime favorites of the band and fans. Furthermore, all the songs have been subjected to Super Bit remastering, resulting in the best sound ever. For some casual fans, Greatest Hits remains definitive, since it's a portrait of the band at its peak, but listeners wanting a career-spanning single-disc compilation will find that The Best of ...
