This is the best of the 3 Stealer's Wheel albums, the eponymous Stealers Wheel (72), Ferguslie Park (73) and Right Or Wrong (75). Together, Gerry Rafferty and his school chum Joe Egan were a wonderfully talented folk/pop duo of the mid-70s who never achieved the success they deserved whilst in this combination. Their voices clicked together perfectly and they possessed a rare songwriting talent. From the oh-so-famous "Stuck In the Middle" through songs such as Steamboat Row, Star, and Jose, it is easy to see why this duet were critically acclaimed. Before you realise it, the album will be over, and you will have no option but to play it again at once, so seduced is the listener by the carefully crafted melodies.
