The Best of the Gipsy Kings

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
During the late '80s, the Gipsy Kings became an unexpected pop culture phenomenon, winning many fans with their pop-inflected flamenco. In many respects, their debut album, the one that won them a huge audience, remains their definitive work, but The Best of the Gipsy Kings is useful for fans who never purchased any of their subsequent records. Sure, it duplicates several tracks from the debut, but it also rounds up highlights from their relatively ignored follow-ups, all of which contained some terrific songs. As an introduction or summary for the casual fan, The Best of the Gipsy Kings is ideal.

    GIPSY KINGS ARE A BOMB!

Heard the Gipsy Kings music several years ago and was very impressed with the upbeat music and the tempo of their hits. I went out the following day and bought 3 of their cd's. This music reallly keeps you going and you can feel the music in your soul!

    Great Great Great

I don't usually listen to this genre of music. But I once worked at Nature Company and everyone would love this CD when we played it. I love it. I bought it and listen to it all the time. It's very relaxing but at the same time extremly upbeat. I try to listen to it at work alot to keep me going! But I can't leave it at work becuase there are often times I want to listen to it at home.

    Wonderful

The Gypsy Kings are one of the most talented musicians(bands) that I've ever heard. My hats off to them.

    Good but not BEST

This CD is good!! But it doesn't have all the best songs I believe. I'm a great fan of GK's and in my MP3 collection I've better tracks than the ones included in this CD. Recommendation: Buy 'em all!! You'd feel more satisfied for your money.

    Question about Viento del Arena

Is Viento del Arena a remake of an Arabic song? If so, where is the credit to the original band? Who would be the original band?
