Those who embrace variety will find plenty to sink their teeth into.
Library Journal
This anthology captures some of the best shorter pieces published each year on spirituality. Notable this year are Adam Gopnik on lessons learned in an art class, Pico Iyer on India, and poems by the likes of Cynthia Zarin and Jane Hirshfield. This series is the true successor to the late lamented "annuals" of Victorian publishing fame, and a delight for spiritual readers of all persuasions. VERDICT This always-pleasing volume is a particularly strong entry in a strong series; for all libraries and individuals seeking the best in spiritual reading.
