Joseph F. Hurley is CEO and founder of Savingforcollege.com, a website considered by many to be the best independent source of information on Section 529 state tuition plans and other ways for families to plan and save for college. He has worked for over 30 years as a certified public accountant providing tax-planning services to individuals, business, and tax-exempt organizations. Hurley is also the author of the first comprehensive book on 529 plans titled The Best Way To Save For College A Complete Guide to 529 Plans. He has been widely quoted in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, TIME, Newsweek, and USA Today and he has appeared at hearings in Washington to comment on the regulation of 529 plans. Hurley graduated from Williams College in 1978 and lives with his wife in Victor, New York.
