Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
There can be no doubt that Hallie Ephron grew up in a literary environment: Her parents were both screenwriters; Hallie and her sisters Nora, Delia, and Amy all became authors. All of which prepared this Ephron admirably for crafting 1001 Books for Every Mood and The Bibliophile's Devotional. This secular devotional provides much more than a full year of pithy literary quotations. Ephron also includes character sketches, plot summaries, and choices that extend far beyond habitually cited classics.

    Short reviews of great books

This Devotional is one of the first things I pick up each morning. Often find a book I want to add to my reading list--even some in which I thought I had no interest.
