The Big Argument actually covers much more than the evidence for the existence of God. It covers the whole field of apologetics, including the archeological evidence for both the old and new testaments, evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, the problem of evil, and other arguments used by atheists to justify their world view. Each chapter is well written and covers the material succinctly and authorativatively. This is an excellent book to use to defend Christianity with unbelievers or non Christians. Although written for Christians, it should help atheists to reevaluate their views. As an atheist once, I wish I had a book like this many years ago. I came to many of the same conclusions through much time consuming study and thought. Reading this book would have helped to jump start me on my long, and still continuing, intellectual journey to theism. I thought the first half of the text was of more interest because it covered the life sciences, my field, although astronomy and the other sciences were also covered. The problem of evil chapter, I thought, was very helpful. Most of the authors were academics teaching at colleges or universities. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
